Clipper 4-packs: one theme, four designs
A Clipper 4-pack is a set of four Clipper lighters built around one theme. Each lighter has its own drawing, and together they tell a joke or a little story. So you can pick a present that suits the person without knowing which lighters they already own. All Classic 4-packs are refillable and have the usual soft Clipper flame.
Which themes are available changes with the collections. Below are the kinds of themes you will find; the lighters shown under this article are the designs of the moment.
Christmas
- Sweet and festive: Christmas 4-packs with animals, such as festive cats with puns on Christmas greetings. The gentlest of the Christmas sets, fine for almost anyone.
- With a wink: a Santa who is not all that good, ugly Christmas sweaters and other seasonal fun.
- For adults: crude Christmas humour with a dark edge. Read the texts on the product page before you give one.
Animals
- Animal prints: cats and other animals, for animal lovers.
- Animals with a joke: animals as film heroes, with puns on well-known titles, or animals mixed with food, each with a pun for a name.
Food and fun
- Food: pizza, Japanese noodles and other dishes, with funny drawings and puns.
- Cartoons: animals raising a toast or wearing sunglasses, UFOs and an alien party.
Watch out: some designs carry crude jokes, sometimes just one of the four in a 4-pack. Read the product page before you give one.

Clipper Metal: for something sturdier
A Clipper Metal keeps the familiar Clipper shape in a metal body. It feels heavier and is more a lighter to keep than one to lend out. There are two styles:
- Plain: no print, for example matte black, deep blue or silver.
- Colourful: metallic colour gradients, for example in pink, green or black, and mixed icy colours.
If they prefer a jet flame, choose a metal Clipper Jet: in glossy or brushed silver, in matte black, or in rainbow metallic colours.
For someone who likes a small lighter in the pocket, there are printed metal sleeves with a refillable Micro Clipper inside.
A storm lighter for outdoors and the kitchen
A storm lighter gives a blue jet flame that blows out less easily than the soft flame of an ordinary lighter. That makes it a gift for someone who often needs a flame outdoors: on a windy terrace, at the barbecue or when camping. In the Silver Match range you will find storm lighters with two or three jet flames: some with a metal finish and a built-in cigar punch, others in glossy black with a black or gold button.
For someone who cooks outside or lights a lot of candles, a lighter with a bendable neck is handy. And for a keen home cook there is a torch for caramelising the sugar on a crème brûlée. For the collector: a Fire-Board
Clipper collectors often keep their lighters in a drawer. A Fire-Board puts them on the wall or a shelf, with the designs facing out.
- Fire-Board for 8 Clippers: 184 x 93 x 10 mm, matte black, made of recycled ABS plastic. It comes with a stand, a magnetic strip and wall mounting, so you can stand it, hang it or stick it to metal.

Three questions before you choose
- Soft flame or jet flame? A classic Clipper, like the ones in the 4-packs, has a soft flame: fine for candles and indoor use. For someone who often needs a flame outdoors, at the barbecue, when camping or in the wind, a jet flame is the better pick.
- Large or small? The Classic is the standard Clipper size. The Micro is smaller and slips more easily into a small pocket or bag.
- Does it fit what they already have? If they collect Clippers, pick a theme they do not own yet, or a Fire-Board. The 4-packs are Classic lighters, so they fit the slots of a Fire-Board.

Make the gift complete
All the lighters above are refillable: when the gas runs out, they refill it instead of buying a new one, so the gift lasts. Add a can of lighter gas, such as the Silver Match Gaz Refill 300ml, so they do not have to go looking for one. Flints and other small parts are in the accessories.
If the present travels by plane, remember that a storm lighter and lighter gas cannot go on board. A classic Clipper can: one small lighter, carried on your person. Always check with the airline.
